[Cain had risen early and left a note for his for his family on the side: GOING OUT. BACK LATER. CAIN. So now there was a small ten-year-old boy, muffled up in a scarf and coat, knocking on every door. He sounds bunged up with a cold, but he's smiling enthusiastically at whoever answers. Could it be you?!]

Good morning! Do you need any odd-jobs doing? Or any chores? I'm trying to raise some money for a present for my family.

[B: Phone and Home]

[After a long day, Cain is sat at home with a blanket around himself and several packages by his side (presents for the family) on the couch. He's shivering and sniffing, he's never been ill before so this is a new experience on him and he's not sure what to do with it. While he's waiting for his family to come back home, he picks up the phone to ask for advice.]

What are you supposed to feel like when you have a cold? What do you do to make it better?

For helping me as well, I'd hate to have gone home with this gash and worried my family.

Ah, that's right. At least this way you won't have to worry your family, right? It would be pretty counterproductive if that happened while you were actually working to make them happy.

And I think Abel might do something silly if he knew, so it's best he doesn't.

Abel..? [ Well, he can figure it's only of the people related to Cain, but.. ]

Is he part of your family? One of the people you were trying to help out?

He's my lit-- big brother.

[Older here, younger at home. Still hard to get his mind around that.]

[normality]

[ That correction is strange, but he won't comment on it. ]

It's pretty nice to have family in this place, right? [ Mikiya could know. ] Even if it's better for them to not be here.. As long as we can't change it, we might as well enjoy their presence.

Have you got family here as well, Mikiya?

[normality]

Yes, I do. My little sister is stuck in this place as well, so I have to make sure to keep an eye on her. [ and his daughter from the future, but that's a little too awkward to just mention casually like that.. ]

She's lucky to have a brother like you. Do you live in the same house?

[normality]

Heh.. I'm not so sure abut that, but I try my best. [ He seems grateful for the compliment all the same. ]

And we don't. But.. well, this is a little complicated, but she does live in the same house as a guy who looks exactly like me.

No, I didn't know him before I got here. Our names are completely different too, and yet everyone keeps mistaking me for him..

[ a slight sigh - sure that was sort of weird and slightly annoying, but he doesn't blame the other for it. ]

So please make sure not to mix us up in the future, okay? [ a chuckle. ]
